December’s Hawk Talk
Hawk Talk!
Your once-a-month summary of updates, reminders, events, and more.
December Updates
Thank you to our volunteers! Your donations, your time, the shopping and errands you help us with — we couldn’t do it without each of you.
Friendly reminder to check that lost and found at school. Those clothing racks are F-U-L-L!
We’ll have a new board next year!
Exciting news! We’ve had several parents come forward and express their interest and willingness to take on board positions next year.
Our current President, Megan Trimble, will be continuing on next year in the role of Vice-President. This will allow a year of overlap while the new board gets settled.
If you are interested in being a co-VP and having an added layer of support and backup while you learn the role, now’s your chance. Reach out to get more info or shadow a board meeting.
The Board is working hard to leave a legacy of continuity and consistency so that our school community has the same positive experience they have always had; just new leadership.
Winter Events
There’s snow much fun coming up!
Our next general membership meeting is in January for in-person and virtual attendance. Everyone is welcome, you don’t have to be a paid member, although paid members do get to vote.
Childcare will be provided in the library (Thanks, Ms. Brooke!).Please note that our Hawks Night Out at Sky Zone has been cancelled. They no longer do fundraiser events so we are working on how to move forward with that info. If there is a local business you think we should reach out to, send that info to us and we will check it out!
Happiest Holidays!
However the holidays look in your home, we wish you warmth, comfort, light, and peace. From our families to yours, have a great winter break and new year.
Preorder your 2025-2026 Yearbook!
A new idea for the 2025-2026 school year — we are offering the option to prepurchase your yearbook. Families who prepurchase will receive an email later in the spring reminding them that they already purchased a yearbook.
Students will receive their yearbook in early June, just like in years past.
If you read all the way to the bottom - thank you so much! We know it is a lot of information to take in but we also want to be communicative and transparent with how we are serving our students, school, and community.
As always, we are an email away if you have questions, comments, concerns, or compliments.
Love,
The THE PTA Board
