Pickup & Dropoff Etiquette
We know - pickup and drop-off can be frustrating and test all of our patience! Here are a handful of etiquette tips for making your (and others’) school experience just a little better.
For Drivers:
Don’t ignore crossing guards - they have a system and it’s a matter of safety!
The intersection leading to the school is NOT a four-way stop. Please obey the rules of the road even when you’re in a hurry.
The school drop-off line is not the time for caregivers to get out of the car - children should be able to unbuckle themselves and close the door behind them, keeping the drop-off time extremely short.
You are always welcome to park and then walk you child to the gates!
Buses and Pedestrians have the right of way.
Slow down and wait your turn - we know you’re in a rush. But there are too many children around for people to whip in and out of line or to drive quickly.
For Walkers:
Obey crossing guards - they are there to protect you!
Do not walk in the bus zone when there are buses.
Be aware of cars and look in all directions before crossing.
If your student rides a bike or scooter to school, please go over with them how to be safe AND considerate so that they don’t harm themselves or others.
Don’t block narrow walkways.
Remember that dogs are not allowed on campus.
We are so excited for this school year and all the memories that are yet to be made!
