May Newsletter
I thought the last newsletter was chockful but I think this one is about to set a record. I will try to keep it concise, visually organized, and maybe a little funny? Thanks for reading.

TL;DR (too long, didn’t read) | the quick and dirty basics:
we are sending home a flyer with the remaining events for the 23-24 school year.
That went by fast, huh?!Yearbook orders now open - see blog post, social media, or flyer that was sent home
Staff Appreciation starts 5/6. Each day has a different theme and we could really use a couple people to spearhead a day.
Our big fundraiser for the year starts May 5th and ends with a Glow Run on May 16. Funds raised will sustain the PTA through spring of 2025 and monies raised support many projects at school: free events like the family dance and bingo, emergency clothes for the health room, snacks for SBA testing and late bus — to name a few. Flyers coming home week of 4/21.

At the February General Meeting, a parent suggested that gravel be added to the path behind the baseball field to help students who walk to school get less muddy. At the April meeting, Principal Halvorson reported that this has been accomplished. Teamwork makes the dream work!
Looking ahead to the
2024-2025 School Year:
We could really use help with:
Procurement Chair: keep track of which businesses have already been asked for donations, coordinate donation request letters, speak to businesses on behalf of the PTA to foster community partner relationships.
Trunk or Treat: someone to coordinate with volunteers and be a general point of contact while overseeing the progression of the event. Budget, support, and camaraderie included.
Copy Queen or King: do you love pushing start on a copy machine? Maybe using a giant paper slicer is a 10/10 for you? This is a very important role that we would love to have support with. Approximately 2 hours per month.
